JUNE 2010

19-20th: BIKE FESTIVAL

a weekend dedicated entirely to the bike, with fun for all the family. Activities include a bike ride from Morzine to Avoriaz and Cyclo-sportive in the Vallée d’Aulps for the keen. Bike games and contests throughout the village, shows, demonstrations, trials and an opportunity to try different equipment.

26-27: 7th  PORTES du SOLEIL MTB

The famous MTB event marks the start of the summer season: a 75km circuit in the Portes du Soleil MTB area with six pit stops bursting with regional energy foods and a 6000m descent! The MAIN EVENT this summer for all MTB riders.

JULY 2010

11-13th July - TOUR de FRANCE 2010

Once again the Tour de France comes to Morzine for the first mountain stage of 2010 tour. A decisive stage for the race and an excuse for three days of celebration in Morzine.

Sunday 11th July: Stage 8  Rousses/Morzine-Avoriaz

5.00pm Tour de France arrives in Avoriaz, relayed to giant TV screen in  Morzine Tourist office square.

7.00pm  Free live concerts throughout the streets of Morzine organised in conjunction with the local bars and restaurants.

9.00pm Football World Cup final on the giant TV screen in the square by the Morzine Tourist office

Monday 12th July: Rest day and celebrations

Tuesday 13 July: Stage 9 Morzine-Avoriaz/St Jean de Maurienne stage, departing from the Place de l’Office du Tourisme in Morzine with.........

Tour caravan handing out goodies, podium signatures and finally.........

France Television live broadcast of the start of stage 9 of the Tour De France

17 & 18th: 4x4 TRIAL at Les Prodains (from base cable car station).

Test stages start at 8am on Saturday with lots to see for the spectator throughout the day

21-24th: 3rd LIND’ART FESTIVAL

A musical journey from East to West.  This year koto, shokuhachi and taïko (strings, flute and Japanese percussion) join pianos and violins to perform Debussy, Greig or Kazuko Narita.

AUGUST 2010

7th: FIREWORKS on Lake Montriond.

10-13th: ZEN WEEK

A week of gentle pampering and relaxation!

Yoga, meditation, qi kong, relaxation, tai chi, Afghan walking and hiking.

SEPTEMBER 2010

2-6th: 62nd  MONT BLANC RALLY

Summer wouldn't be the same in Morzine without the French Automobile Championships' Mont Blanc-Morzine Rally coming to town. For the last 20 years rally drivers have raced around the resort, the Joux Verte and Joux Plane passes before making for the Cote d'Arbroz...this is one of the finest mountain rallies around.
